‘The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones’ Review
Since
the premier of Twilight, a lot of
upcoming and newly released movies are being compared to it, City of Bones is different, but the
quality and portrayal of book into a movie is not adequate enough and could
have been done better. The only difference of City of Bones from Twilight
is the quality of the eye catching effects that it has. There were a lot of
scenes that were not captured properly and imagined into what was written in
the book, which made the movie dull to watch by the ending and not a good entry
for the other movies to come. Some of the angles of the scenes make the actors
look hideous, which should not happen, because all movies should make the
actors look good. Even with a well-known director, the quality of the movie
seems like a home-made movie and not a Hollywood class movie. Truly the movie
could have been done better to make it more enjoyable.
The implied
main idea of the review, which was written by Kofi Outlaw, is that The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones is
not a very time worthy movie and could have been improved. Pictures from some
of the scenes of the movie was shown in the article, and the pictures justifies
some of the problems that were made known. Since I read the book first before
watching the movie, I feel that this review justifies my feelings and thoughts about
the movie, which is not very good. For those who read the book first, they
might feel the same way and felt cheated with its lack of content. And for
those who watched the movie first before reading the book, they may think it as
a good enough movie, and if they ever decide to read the book, they may change
their perception of the movie. Kofi Outlaw’s review informs us with some of the
content of the movie and his view of the movie after watching it himself. The review
gives us enough insight whether to still watch the movie or not, but that
depends on your choice, whether to see it for yourself or trust the review.
